Six Months On

Today marks six months since a State of Emergency was issued for Victoria, many things would change, over the first few days industry colleagues and many of my friends found out that jobs and future bookings had been cancelled, with so much of my own work in events the future was not looking great, but I was lucky, I had other work to do and my business quickly changed focus to expand the services we provide to our clients and we continue to be lucky.

With events cancelled for the foreseeable future many of my peers took on other roles, took time out to study and adapted, this is what events people do, every day is a new problem to be solved and a solution to be provided. This problem however is complex, it’s not something we’ve dealt with before and it will take everyone to pull together to see the other side.

Events will be back and with it the many amazing people that make music, sport, festivals and expos happen. Until then it’s important to check in with our mates and continue to support one another.
