This week I was given the Facebook challenge to 'share a song from your teens' everyday for seven days... music had always been such a big part of...
And just like that 2022 is behind us…
When I wrote the post below on the morning of January 1st 2020 it was with a degree of hope and expectation for what the new year held. By March most people had their lives turned upside down as they lost friends, jobs and opportunities they had worked hard to establish.
Many of my friends went through 2020 without income and for many, this meant being supported by the Government for the first time in their lives.
The word ‘pivot’ entered our vernacular and this word would go on to describe how work and school arrangements would change, interactions with friends and family would change and more broadly how we interacted with the world around us.
The last three years have been some of the toughest times most of us have experienced, and this has been true for many of my friends. With most restrictions lifted the world is slowly returning to normal, masks are still a regular sight, Covid testing continues, and many people are still getting sick, and some are sadly losing their lives.
There is definitely a new ‘normal’ and this is filled with a change in values, time with family & friends is valued more highly than employment, experiences are valued more than possessions and many people have reset their lives to include these things.
Most restrictions have been lifted however many people are still becoming sick, and sadly many are still dying. Masks are still a regular sight and Covid testing is still a regular part of many peoples lives. Covid plans are still a ‘thing’ and many people are still losing jobs, shifts and income as a result.
Over the last three years I’ve done ok, I’ve continued to work, my business has continued to grow and I’m looking forward to getting back on track with several things that have been ‘on hold’.
To my dear family & friends I wish you health, happiness and prosperity for the year ahead.

And just like that it’s 2020… For me 2019 was a year of change, with many highs and a couple of low points to keep me grounded – I ruled the page off on some personal things, completed more study, signed agreements for more work, took on an employee and made the final preparations in Tassie ready to build.
My health is probably the best it’s been in more than five years and it’s time to work on my strength and fitness, with a plan to travel to England and other projects on the radar, I’m going to be the best version on me ever! #2020kickinggoals #bestversionofme #thebestisyettocome
HNY to all my friends and family…
